Attorney Referrals
Many of the cases we handle at 217 Law come from other attorneys.
Lawyers regularly receive calls from people seeking help with matters outside their area of practice or from clients whose cases require additional resources or experience. When that happens, they want to know that the person they refer will be treated with honesty, respect, and exceptional communication.
We are grateful that attorneys throughout Illinois trust us with those referrals.
Whether the referral involves a serious personal injury, a workers’ compensation claim, a criminal charge, or a family law matter, we understand that every referral reflects the referring attorney’s reputation. We take that responsibility seriously by providing straightforward advice, maintaining regular communication, and working hard to achieve the best possible outcome for every client.
Personal Injury & Workers Compensation Referrals
We welcome referrals involving:
Car accidents
Truck accidents
Motorcycle accidents
Wrongful death
Construction accidents
Premises liability
Product liability
Workers' compensation
Catastrophic injury claims
For personal injury and workers' compensation matters, we generally pay a referral fee equal to one-third (1/3) of the attorney fee earned in the case, when permitted by applicable law and ethical rules. We are also happy to discuss joint representation or other referral arrangements that best serve the client's interests.
Criminal Defense & Family Law Referrals
We also appreciate referrals involving criminal defense and family law matters.
Whether a client needs representation in a DUI case, felony or misdemeanor matter, divorce, custody dispute, parenting issues, child support, adoption, or another family law matter, we are committed to providing the same level of communication, professionalism, and personal attention that you would expect for your own clients.
Ethical Referrals
All referral arrangements are handled in accordance with the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct and any other governing ethical requirements. Protecting the client’s interests always comes first, and any referral fee is subject to the client’s informed consent and all applicable legal and ethical requirements.
If you are an attorney looking for a trusted referral partner, or if you’ve been referred to 217 Law by another lawyer, we appreciate the opportunity to earn your confidence.
